Shortly after moving to knoxville in 2004 I opened Alison Banks Studio, here I create paintings, digital art& many strange little oddities in between. I'm in love with art in all of it's vast and brilliant forms.
I love to learn new things, anything to get the wheels turning. I enjoy finding knowledge by way of participating in new things, as I believe that when we stop learning and experiencing new things there is a small part of us which ceases to be.
No matter how old we grow there are still many things in this life, this world & universe that are always open to us waiting for us delve in and expand our minds.

Speaking as a lover of literature, a writer and most importantly a Mother...
I don't know what the hell some of these people are thinking.
To burn or ban a book any book, in any era ,this is a thought that I can not comprehend.
Are all books suitable for all ages ? , no, but to say that a book should be locked away from all or destroyed because an organization, religious or otherwise deems it inappropriate is ludicrous.
There are a great many books out there in the world in a variety of genres if someone thinks that a books content may be offensive then they should not read said book.
On the question of what our children should or should not be reading , yes it is up to each parent * to a point* to say what they think their young ones should be learning . However, I personally would rather see my son with a copy of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer in his hand then a video game controller. Though he has those too :)
